And here's a shot showing how Xcel plans to wreck out the 69kV - clean off the circuit then cut off the 69kV portion of the pole. The two poles in front (620, 621) were the only ones cut off just above the 23.9kV circuit - all the rest were cut off just below the 69kV portion (leaving a big stub above the arm). Pole 621 later got an even wider crossarm.

The poles were evidently numbered in sequence from the line's origin likely at the end of the double circuit at the former Renner Junction sub north of Sioux Falls.

Oh no! That's even worse than yukking the line. That's too bad...I would've liked to have seen that 69kV line re-used as a distribution radial.

Yeah, I would have loved to see the line repaired and used as a backup tie between the 34.5kV system from the Cherry Creek sub and the new 34.5kV line out of the Grant sub. I'll bet Xcel probably considered that but ruled it out because of the existing 115kV line linking the Grant and Cherry Creek subs.
