Otter Tail Power - Polk County, MN

Otter Tail Power - Polk County, MN
This pole was once a 'floating tap' for a loop that crossed over the old alignment of US 2 (left of the line) and which apparently came down while the state was constructing a new, emergency replacement alignment (to the right). It sure confused the daylights out of me when I came up for a retake and ended up following the new alignment and thinking, "What's the line doing NORTH of the highway?? It was the SOUTH side last time!"

OTP has since rebuilt this segment as an armless single 41.6kV line - and these two poles were replaced with a regular "phase over phase" junction pole and which was reconnected to the river crossing just north.
