A small Westinghouse transformer I came across on my way back to the highway. This was a 'pic and run' as there was a loudly barking dog in the yard. Pleased to see it came out and this is probably the FIRST CSP Westy I've found in MDU land, and in the old ND Power & Light section no less!

Austin Taylor, Power Lines, SW Ohio Lines, André J.(Lineman80) and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Nice catch there! I like the Westy can and the pumpkin-orange Lapp insulators.

Around here, it's usually the other way around with Westinghouse transformers--the CSP versions tend to dominate. I've only seen one or two non-CSP Westies on CL&P's entire grid.

Interestingly enough, it's always the old Westinghouse transformers that seem to have the worst paint around here. Most of the ones I see are worn down to the red lead primer. Could be that they're just older than most of the other transformers though.

But at least they don't rust like the trusty ol' RTE's! : )
