tja, dieser engel war wohl ein fluganfänger! :-))

I'll try a translation of that part of the Advent story, that tells the end of my christmas dreams:

The following Christmas must have been the last one, which I was allowed to celebrate as a convinced believer in the existance of the "Christkind" (the german Santa Claus).
I remember well that in late autumn I talked to my mother about the fact that my doll Gabi has had a problem with her arm. In town I had seen a doll doctor, to whom I wanted to bring her immediately. But my mother told me to confidently put the patient on the window sill in the evening. The angels would certainly come to fetch the doll and up to Christmas she would be o.k. again. Thus I agreed, and the doll had actually disappeared on the next morning.
Time went by, and I did not think of Gabi anymore. One day my mother sent me to the living room, in order to get something from the cabinet , from the right safe. Only heaven knows why I opened the wrong right. Anyhow, opening the left safe my doll Gabi (supposed to be in heaven's doll hospital) fell out of the cabinet.
There are moments in life, you never forget and that was one of those. All of a sudden I knew the whole truth, without talking one word about it. Irreparably the lucky days of childhood christmas were lost. It was like a parting from a beautiful dream, which bursts in front of your eyes like a soap bubble, and all the iridescence and magic gives way to sober reality.

Perhaps it is comparable with the realization that Mr. Right just uses water for cooking, too.

ich erinnere mich... wollte nur nicht so gierig sein... :)))

ich weiß noch genau, dass wir über diese farbkombination sprachen ...rot und lila! für mich trainingshosen-farben! :-)))

aber ich gewöhne mich mit der zeit an alles. jetzt hab ich mir tatsächlich eine sofadecke gekauft, die von einer seite rot, von der anderen orange ist. warme, nicht zu knallige töne ... aber eine solche kombination hätte ich noch bis vor kurzem nicht an mich gelassen. :-))
