Sinuous
This is one of my favourites of my twenty or so 'keeper' captures from my recent trip. It was taken on the way back from the Salar de Tara, in Chile, just before 'Striation 2', a couple of shots back in my 'stream.

Since we were trying to get to the high point where 'Striation 2' was captured (an hour's drive away), we only had ten minutes out of the vehicle for this scene. With more time I'd have liked to get closer and make more of an S in the lower part of the shot - as it was there's a large, gravelly bank in the way which I've cropped from the frame.

Still, I thought the distinct sweeps of tone around the lagoon, combined with the sinuous curve, were really beautiful and worth capturing for this letterbox-shaped image.
