You could do nearly everything in RawTherapee (except the SPX-400 simulation): curve retouches and unsharp mask are possible in RT (if "máscara de desenfoque" means "unsharp mask", that is, a sharpening process).
But this often happens to me too. I forget some editing steps, that (in theory at least) would have been done better in 16-bit by RawTherapee than in 8-bit by Gimp, Or I'm not satisfied with the result and too lazy to do it again.
Digicam seems to have lots of nice features, but I cannot use it, because it wants to take control over my whole system: I cannot open a single image: I need to have all my hard disks explored if I want to reach a single image. This is the supposedly "friendly", "transparent" way of new software, but it is not acceptable for an old-timer like me. Maybe on Windows I could use my "Images" directory, which is ordinarily empty (old-timer's precept: Never put data on the system disk) as my "collection", as they put it?
[Later] I tried, but I think there are too few controls on the raw image. And the "refresh"button is just boring. And there is no 64-bit Windows build. I often tried the Linux version, but uninstalled it every time. Now I uninstall the Windows version...

Bonjour François.

Rawtherapee is excellent, but it only applies the processes to the whole image.
In this photo I used "unsharp mask" applied only to the center of the image. In the same way I used "curves" to lower the levels only in the corners.

I use Digikam mainly to tag images and, sometimes, to convert to B&W. I configured Digikam to scan only the folder where I store my pics. The scanning is very fast (fedora 18 64bits, intel i5)
