The 1963 Corvette StingRay Revisited

The 1963 Corvette StingRay Revisited
Awhile back, I posted a photograph of a group of Corvettes in a warehouse setting. During that photo shoot, there were a number of out takes that were certainly good, but I felt did not tell the story I was looking for.
Recently, I have been going through my files reviewing photos, that might be used for the second volume of the Elgin Park book, and came across this image.
It distills the essence of what the Sting Ray was all about and it deeply illustrates my feelings for how that vehicle pushed every button in me at that time.

Even as I write this, my palms are sweaty. Phew,
what a car!

This is a Franklin Mint model, but it is not a diecast! It is actually made of fiberglass just like the real vehicle. In some ways, the detail is far better than the metal ones.
The scale is 1/24th.

This picture is the proof of how illumination is a great part of photography. The settings were great originally ? Even better now ! The light exploding through the first upper row of windows is just perfectly realistic !
