2007-11-10 Construction Update

There is my house in the distance. There must be a bad spell on that corner of the site since no one else is building there. Or they just don't want to build next to me...

Oh come on, it's totally different: you bought all the surrounding ground just to get rid of any possible neighbours. We can already see you're digging a lake there so we all can only get to your place by boat. Admit it. Your 'house' and the photos you show is your gardener's house and we haven't seen one picture so far of the palace you are really building... isn't it...? :-)

Actually I find the lake a bit worrysome. I was assuming that the ground was pure sand and water wouldn't accumulate as much. First half of this year we had some really extreme rain falls and I will have to keep an eye on this issue since I somehow need to direct the water away from my basement...
Regarding your theory... If I had built this outside Berlin and had a free choice who to hire for the house construction the money I spend now would have been sufficient to buy a plot this size (although the palace would require some extra funds).

Oh I can imagine that you would have been able to buy much more land for less money if you had chosen some off location in Brandenburg or MecPom. I hope this water thing won't get a serious problem for you. Is the "lake side" on your grounds or is it some neighbour?

Michaelpro replies:
There is the street between my plot and the "lake district". The land around the house(s) is really small, so I am far away from that. The section where the water is will have 13 houses on it, so you see the packaging is very dense.
