Sheer Coincidence

Sheer Coincidence
Excitement! Small but perfect Shasta Daisies, growing in the mountains 50 miles west of Mt. Shasta itself. These very familiar garden flowers MUST have originated here in Northern California! I’ll brag about that on ipernity!

But no. The botanist’s bible says they have been introduced from Europe. By sheer coincidence, they have run away from gardens to damp woodland clearings at middle elevations in the northern California mountains including Mt. Shasta.
