On the Original Mother Road, Route 66
One thing you’ll notice while driving the original Route 66 over 172 miles of California desert: In the old days they didn’t do many road cuts. Gentle roles in the pavement like these make the long straightaways much more pleasant...as long as you are not doing 80 mph. Rising dust storm in the distance.
