Any-one for a Swim ?

Any-one for a Swim ?
Looking down over the beach at Whitepark Bay on Northern Ireland's North Coast.. None of those below seemed to be too interested in venturing into the sea's chilly waters - and I, for one, didn't blame them ! Or, maybe, they were aware that the beach area contains rip currents which have claimed lives over the years.

Whitepark Bay was one of man's first settlements in Ireland : evidence of these Neolithic settlers is regularly exposed on the raised beach and sand dune system. It is known that the manufacturing and exporting of axes and arrow heads took place from here, the limestone cliffs being a rich source of flint nodules. The dune system, glimpsed in my picture, is a declared Area of Scientific Interest, and exposed near the beach edge are the remains of an old summer school.
