There are many sand pits around Sulejówek. Some are deep, some are shallow, all are dry with trees struggling to survive at their borders. Some of them are one hundred years old, remembering times when sand and clay (from numerous clay pits) were used to rebuild Warsaw and nearby towns after WWI.

It is their choice to be there... Bad choice maybe, but solely theirs ;)
Thank you!

This one reminds me to some of my favorite spots at the Dutch Northsea coast -
sandy ground surrounded from birches and pines - a unique smell in the air and you can hear the sound of the waves ...
Great tonality with TMY in HC-110 - have to try this - I always used Tetenal Ultrafin or T-MaX developer.

Sand dunes here around Sulejówek are post-glacial remains. In central Poland, far away from sea. But I know such a place where I spent many of my summer holidays when I was a kid. So I know the smell and the sound, sure I do :)
HC-110 in now my favorite developer both for Kodak and Ilford negatives. I tried many others (other recommended combinations) and eventually found HC-110 satisfying all my needs.
It's definitely worth trying, do it!

Thank you so much, Graham!
There will be more of them.
Just yesterday I was there again with my Yashica Mat but too late, light was already gone, and I had no tripod with me. One of three frames is barely acceptable...
