It reminds me of a very good Polish movie I saw. In it is the story of a village with a secret in Poland.

II do not know if it is a good film. I've seen it and I still have my doubts.
What I am sure of is that is very skilfully made.
Then I sincerely hope that it is not the one and only source of your insight into complicated Polish-Jewish relations as they were throughout our common history (and during World War II).
Have you seen this film?

Perhaps as a movie experience it was striking and your photograph reminded me of scenes inside the visual narrative of the film.
As any film it has its limitations with regard to the subject of complicated human relationships, especially when experienced in times of war. Any meaningful insight should be gathered over time using sources which are truly representative of the people involved.
Thank you for your answer and pointer to the movie.
