Never Ending Math Equation

I'm the same as I was when I was 6 years old
And oh my God I feel so damn old
I don't really feel anything
On a plane, I can see the tiny lights below
And oh my God, they look so alone
Do they really feel anything?
Oh my God, I've gotta gotta gotta gotta move on
Where do you move when what you're moving from
Is yourself?
The universe works on a math equation
that never even ever really even ends in the end

-- Sun Kil Moon

seems to me there are so many ways to move from ourselves, poetry is one, photography another, and now with PS we can even move up to the moon..;-)

you're one nostalgic man Eric.. at least that's the feeling that transpires tru your pics.
are you a mathematician too ??

A mathematician..no, absolutely not! :-)

I should put something in my profile from the personality tests that I've taken..interesting stuff and close - I think - to describing the person in a somewhat objective way. My Myers-Briggs personality type swings a little between INFP and INTP (I've tested out to both of these types at various times).

The words accompanying this image are from a song..Sun Kil Moon is a folksy sort of project by Mark Kozolek. The song quoted here is a cover of a song created by a band called Modest Mouse. I like Kozolek's version because it is filled with a certain emotion that I tried to replicate in my image.

As far as being nostalgic, I think this is just my way of exploring ways to embed emotional content in my images. Nostalgia, I think, is a little easier for me to image as compared to other emotional responses (anger, joy, etc.). I think I am at the beginning of this process of expressing ideas and feelings through imagery so I rely heavily on those things that come easiest to me. I suppose, or I hope, that over time I'll be able to expand on my abilities to speak 'graphically', if that makes any sense.
