The backside of hunger

The backside of hunger
This is a canary podenco, still nameless, that came to me and I didn't have the heart to turn him away. Yesterday we went to the vet and of course he has no ID, no chip, no nothing. He's still young... a malnourished adolescent that should be tall and athletic. :(
Now we have to seek and adopter for him...

Oh Marianne, my heart starts crying again, I am such a loca.
My heart says adopt him. My brain says don't. Still mourning because of Jimena.

:( Jimena's case is so sad!
I remember being told last year to tell Blanquita's adopter to give her the filaria preventive for one month more, as they don't have that disease in Germany but she could just have got it just before going, and that'd be really bad! I sent the medicine and insisted upon that point, because this kind of thing can happen so easily when people don't realize special needs... I was very lucky to be told of that, as I might not have thought of it.

Mimoso is already feeling much better - he now plays! :) He has a tough time ahead of him, as he's positive for filaria, but he's only got a little filaria and is young. I'm pretty sure he'll make it. Next week we'll start preparing him for that.
