Extremely easy, cause being photograph is one of the things they are doing this for. They also take photos from each other, the older ones are posing for the youngsters :)
Yes, of course I can. You know anime and manga, the japanese comic films and books? This young people are wearing costumes like their heroes from the films and books. It's a little bit like the Star Wars or Star Trek fans do on their conventions.
In Harajuku there is something like an every weekend open air convention. So about 50 young people you can find in wonderful colorful costumes. One part of this game is posing for the people and with the people. It's nowadays something like tourist spot in Tokyo.
But it's just a weekend event. Most of them look rather normal during the week.
Meanwhile it's getting more and more popular in Germany. Few weeks ago there was Japanese day in Düsseldorf, so many German cosplayer were also there. But, I must say, it's not worth shooting them, they not bit as cool as the Japanese ;)
By the way, cosplay means costume play. It's an artificial jenglish word...
