The gardens in Calgary are usually dead from killing frosts by mid-September, but this year it is mid-October and only a few light frosts and the gardens are blooming on.

Yes still looking good for another week of warmer than usual weather. Mind you Victorians will have the last laugh come February when the daffodils are up while we're still shovelling the white stuff.

Most of the time but back in '96 we had a record blizzard, over four feet of snow. Usually in Victoria if we have a light dusting most drivers don't know what to do, except crash! Very lame, let me tell you.

I lived in Coquitlam back in the 70's and when it snowed it was bad. The snow was very heavy and almost impossible to shovel so I can imagine four feet would have brought Victoria to a standstill.
