Ambulance train.

Didcot Railway Centre has a centenary commemorative exhibition showing the contribution of the railways transporting men and equipment during WW1. The GWR locomotive and carriages displayed were all part of the many ambulance trains that carried the wounded "back to Blighty".

Top PiP - GWR ward carriage 1918
Middle Pip - GWR treatment room 1918
Bottom PiP - Lockable metal medicine trunk belonging to Dr J H Davies

Excellent!
A quick question, Maggie.
Why are PiPs so populur ... instead of showing them as photos in a series?
Not that I mind at all, just curious (and jealous, I haven't yet worked how to do it!)

Hello Andy,
the PiP-technic is just an outstanding feature of ipernity for presenting fotos with inserted details (e.g.).
You are invite to join the PiP-group.

And here you find an excellent guide for the production of PiPs:

To my knowledge there is no other photo community where this is possible!

You are welcome! ;-)

Many thanks, Rrrolf.
I will investigate this when I get some time to do so. A bit hectic at the moment!
