Its was 18 in the evening and the water was a bit cold, but after a minute your body began to get used to it. It was really relaxing. My son jumped in the hot tub when we got back inside :)
No - its not HDR. It was almost shot the way it is shown, by my wife :)
I've used curves in photoshop to add an overall blue tone to the image, to draw out the dramatic sky and for the ground i used an selective "unsharped mask"

All i really did to the sky was tone it in LAB mode. The light on the water was much harder and less noticeable :)
