_Nice_ sky? :D I really like this, the colours are just to my liking (matte rather than glossy, and strong rather than vibrant/shiny), and the HDR effect is not over the top. What kind of software do you use for your HDRs? Do you do it the "correct" way, by taking three photos of the same motive, or do you play around with copies of one?

Thank you :)

"Mr. Nice sky " ..... Mr. Nice Guy ... could be the tree looking like a torso reaching up. With God above and the church in the back ...my mind rambling with words ....

This shot is 9 exposures. From 15sec and 9EV up with a spacing of 1 EV. Shot at f/22 at 18mm.

I used photomatix to combine the shots into a 32bit openexr (HDR) file. Then in photoshop i cleaned it up and reduced the noise, still in 32bit mode. Then tonemapped via. photomatix down to a 16bit tiff and then back in photoshop for a bit of dodge and burn. Finally, export as an 8bit jpg.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. :) I got a remote for my camera today, I'm adding HDR to the list of techniques to be tested..! (I ordered that remote on New Year's Eve, btw, remember our "chat" back then about possibly getting a Holga? Haven't ordered one of those yet, though - however I am getting my paycheck tomorrow.. ;) )
