Eat the Season
Strawberries: rinsed and quartered; blackberries or blueberries: rinsed. Toss the berries with some sugar and a liberal dash of good Cuban rum (use the white one for more refined occasions but the darker rum has more flavour). Let the mixture chilled in the fridge for 20 minutes. Before serving, re-flavour with more rum and a couple of mint leaves.
