a slice of old London

I love these kind of storage places underneath elevated railway trails and bridges. There are similar places in Berlin and they have always intrigued me.

When I lived in London they often housed small workshops , garages and one such space was said to be a mushroom farm. I wonder if things have changed.. good morning Lunaryuna.. :-)

Good morning :) That's exactly the kind of uses they are giving to these places underneath the metro arches in Berlin! Even mushroom farms, for they need to be dark :))

Guten morgen, Christina! these places are wonderful in themselves but doubly wonderful for the people and activities they attract. Character-full.

Same here!

I generally love walking around strange corners in the city! Too many people are always using their cars and never get to see all the hidden treasures around!
