i guess it is, you captured a part of a potential if not already a storm cloud, a thunderhead(=

I see!! I think the storms and I have a special relationship, some sort of symbiosis ;) :D I have seen so many and captured some great ones! Have you seen this capture from Michigan:

and this was a really tough one in Berlin, I think last year or two years ago, I don't recall it now:

i have and those too are beautiful captures! The old man weathers in Berlin is an amazing shot as well, looks painted.

I smoothened the contrast in that one and used a bit of blur!

Sieht wirklich bedrohlich aus. Wir sollten mal die Raumschiffe auf ihre Emissionswerte überprüfen. :-)

Le stratocumulus est un genre de nuage appartenant à l' étage inférieur : aux latitudes tempérées, sa base se situe entre 500 et 2 500 m de hauteur avec une épaisseur de l'ordre de 600 m. Il est composé de dalles, galets, rouleaux, etc., gris ou blanchâtres, ayant presque toujours des parties sombres et se disposant assez régulièrement en un banc, une nappe ou une couche dont les éléments, soudés ou non entre eux, ont pour la plupart une largeur apparente supérieure à 5° ; lorsqu'il arrive que ces éléments se soudent en s'étalant, le stratocumulus prend l'apparence d'une couche continue et bourrelée. Bien qu'il puisse présenter un aspect menaçant, ce nuage ne donne que rarement lieu à des précipitations , et quand celles-ci surviennent, c'est avec une faible intensité ; elles tombent alors sous forme de pluie légère ou de bruine ou bien, si la température est inférieure à 0 °C , sous forme de neige ou de neige roulée .
