a jail we found right behind Battersea Power Station and of course I had to get close and shoot, getting my silly face into one of those surveillance cameras ... Hey guys, greetings back from Berlin :p :D
yeah, I agree, these are strong structures, but what puzzles me most is the effect of all that threatening security stuff projected as mere silhouettes (i.e. more abstract) against this radiant and innocent sky, which somehow always stands for liberty and personal freedom ...
Apart from the `strong structures, great patterns etc, ´it´s the buddleia which caught my eye. If the sky stands for liberty and personal freedom, then a plant growing from a prison wall must symbolise hope.
I lived in London for years and I´m very much enjoying your view of it... and seeing the enormous changes that have taken place. :-O
You are absolutely right, that is what they are standing for: HOPE!!! And the impossibility of total control, which is a theme that adds just as much elation to me as does the hope theme.
