the image reminds me of an opening to a play or an opera, where the lights are welcoming, but not overdone. perhaps it is the closing of such a scene. I will go with the closing, where everyone has taken their way home, and the only sounds are the echoes of what once was. I know you like such places. I feel you imagine your own endings when coming across such treasures. and those echoes and/or endings are what draws you, and reflect in your work. you are very talented and creative.

now that is a very nice allusion and reminiscence, colpo di fulmine, although I obviously love the suspended expectation at the very beginning of such event :)

Das ist ja das schöne daran, jeder empfindet völlig anders im Angesicht der Bilder :) Ich mag die urbane Desolation ja sehr, wie Du schon bemerkt haben wirst, sie gibt mir Freiraum in der Stadt :)
