I went to an old 'unimproved' 1930s cinema in Mt Vernon WA in the summer ... great character ... and to make the experience complete ... the reel change got fluffed, shadows over screen, apologetic announcement and short break to sort things out. Took me back to Saturday matinees at the local fleapit! :)

Did you ever see that dear black and white movie about a struggling cinema called 'The Bijou'? can't remember the title but it was priceless!
