I love these type of night shots. So moody and erie. Well done:)

lunaryunapro replies:
yeah, I love these spaces and scenarios late night myself, JoJo. There is something intensely strange and wonderful about empty urban spaces, which are supposed to be crowded.

This is the same station, but seen from the opposite site when descending from the platform and still by day. But you can already appreciate the green lighting in that exit hall:

oh, one can feel the silence and emptiness ... yes, train stations are irresistible ;)
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink / translate )
lunaryunapro replies:
I am glad you agree with my idea, dear Annjin. To me there is probably more about it, trainstation are symbols of travel, communication and of moving on and that's one main theme of my life :)

loove that greenish light
and the symmetry boost the surreal mood

bravo

lunaryunapro replies:
many thanks, F. I swear this is how I found the station, all I did was taking the shot pretty dark, so it would intensify the surreal feel of it, but here is no photoshop involved. You can see the green light already in the day shot I posted as well.

lucky , at least you got day-nightlights, most metros .. nothing then neon lights, but the idea is sublime to create a two-for-one picture

I really must start going out at night with my camera. You remind me of what delights there are out there. Though i may just avoid the big horned animals :-)
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
lunaryunapro replies:
hehe, listen to my advice, just go out unafraid and carry some sugar cubes in your pockets :p :D

And going out by night with a camera firmly attached to yourself is one of the greatest things. My absolute favourite occupation. Nighttime brings all the strange things out to the "dark" light ;)
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Purple T replies:
So is the sugar to give me energy when i have to run from the big horny animals?

I'm usually cycling when out at night, so i miss far too many good opportunities. I'm going to have to start walking more i think :)
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
lunaryunapro replies:
that's an excellently creative use of the sugar :D

♥ Colpo di fulmine ♥ says:
such a quiet and incredibly presented image on how empty something once so full can be. how the emptiness is much more beautiful, yet rarely seen. even it it were during daylight hours, most rush here and there--they would not notice such things. it takes a special artist, a photographer to show those hurried folk, the meaning of beauty sometimes. that way as they sit behind their desks, eat at their favorite cafes, or relax in the spa, they can surround themselves with framed photographs from all around the world. they can say "how beautiful. wish I could go to such a place." and for some special reason, that is all we need. we just enjoy showing the world through our own eyes. anyway, (haha) I think the colors give depth to the overall mood in this shot. and I agree, shooting at night is indescribable! :)
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
lunaryunapro replies:
Many thanks, Colpo di fulmine, for such "fulminant" comment ;) :))) I guess there will always be some bystanders, some outsiders like myself who try to stay away from the overly crowded and loud places, preferring the city in its essence and showing how it feels in absence of noise and everyday hassle. Welcome to my little corner at Ipernity and thanks again for your lovely thoughts!

It can be quite tricky to get the light just right in these shots but you have done it well. i love the composition it is frames very well drwing the eye into the central light.

I honestly don't know why they would choose such a colour. It was not really the shade of green that entails reassurance. It rather felt plain eerie to me :)
