Obviously the spots are the icing on the cake.

yep!! The sun was doing crazy, unbelievable things in those glasses! When we filled them and foam would build on top, the "fire" was gone and then slowly, like a dancing flame, it would rebuild as soon as the liquid was all clear again.! Totally fascinating stuff! :) (besides tasting good!)
