our first home-grown balcony baby: a hellishly hot and delicious Scotch Bonnet chilli. Last year we just kept the seeds of several of those, since we always have them in most of our Caribbean, Asian and other spicy dishes and grew plants of them early spring. Now we got literally hundreds of little chilli pods growing on the balcony, it's just wonderful :)
Glad to hear that, Tom! From flower to fruit it's pretty quick, but we noticed that the first flowers did go unpollinated, not a single insect getting close to them and they were all falling off. Then we started doing ourselves the pollinator work and voilá, shortly after all our flowers had tiny little pods :)
