even in winter there is summer in my home 


a capture of the building I live in, during winter 2 years ago. It shows the mural painting of Nicaraguan naive painter Manuel García Moia from 1985, which has been restored last year thanks to a united effort of many citizens, neighbours and enthusiasts. The painting represents the "Battle of Monimbo" during the Sandinist fight against the Somoza regime, with a terrible massacre taking place in this village of indigenous people.

vielen Dank! Mir gefällt es auch sehr gut, zumal wir nicht immer solche frisch-verharschter-Puderschnee Szenarien haben und es sowohl den Winter in der Stadt als auch meinen "Ort" wiederspiegelt :)

oh, die haben sich bei uns am Haus schon ganz schön ausgetobt! Das Wandbild wurde mit Speziallack geschützt und hat nachts volle Bestrahlung, um deren Chance zu verringern, sich im Schutze der Dunkelheit daran zu betätigen. Aber der Rest des Hauses sah schon 2 Wochen nach Komplettsanierung wieder aus wie zuvor :(
