Berlin Kreutzigerstrasse - balconies
One of my absolute favourite spots in Berlin: Kreutzigerstrasse, located in the Friedrichshain quarter and place of decade-long "occupations" of buildings by alternative youngsters. The Senat of Berlin finally gave in and sought for solutions together with these people and look what we got here! Buildings with facade paintings made by the occupants themselves and a reconstruction with public credits, which helps keeping the area in better shape and suits the needs of all inhabitants.

Here is a "total" view of the facade (it's huge and I couldn't really capture it all)

..und natürlich die vorwitzige Palme, vergaß ich ganz zu erwähnen, muss ich aber nachholen.
Was mir jetzt erst auffällt, das Palmenmotiv wiederholt sich ja im Balkongeländer.

Is this Berlin Jugedstil architecture? The wall paintings remind me of houses buiilt by the Austrian painter/architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
