Bloss gut, dass die Dinger so gross und schwer sind - sonst würde man dauernd im Boden versinken, weil Souvenir-Jäger die allerorts entwendeten... ;)

also in Quito/Ecuador passierte genau das laufend, aber es waren keine Souvenirjäger sondern arme Leute, die die edlen Gullideckel für relativ viel Geld als Edelschrott verkauften :D Da gab es so manche gebrochene Autoachse!

Diesen hier habe ich am Potsdamer Platz fotografiert, in der Nähe der alten Uhr die mitten auf dem Platz gegenüber dem Sonycenter thront :)

At flickr we had a huge manhole cover group and there I saw some highly elaborate Japanese ones. But besides those I haven't either!
