It's February and the weather is cold, but not in our hearts. It's Valentine's season! What better to do than to come to Lions in Love. The Canton of Lions End is hosting the Ostgardr Provincial Bardic Championships extolling the virtues of Love! With stories, songs, poems, sonnets and verses of love and spring and flowers and......

If you prefer the arts of war as ways to express your love, how about fencing and fighting. There will be a fencing tourney and a heavy list tourney to show your special someone that you care enought to fight for them!!. the entrance requirement is only a poem, song or story professing your feelings. And it will be held INSIDE! So no one has to freeze their armor off! (Please note that the tourneys will be inside on a gymnasium floor, so please bear in mind metal knees and non-marking shoes.) The tourney is to show not only prowess and chivalry -- so bring your banners to add the the display.

And, if that is still not your cup of tea, there will be a sensous demo of teas for love and spring. Learn how to make teas for love and springtime.

And by special arrangement--there will be a bellydancing class to entice your special someone with all those moves. And other dance classes.

And who knows, there will be more things to entertain you.

There will be Merchants so you can surprise your honey with a little something.

And saving the best for last--Who can resist Dayboard AND Feast by Countess Brekke???

So if you want to fight, fence, dance, listen to the Ostgardr Bardic Championships, enjoy classes and demos and indulge in a sumptuous feast, The Canton of Lions End is having Lions In Love. All Inside, out of the cold. Come get that warm feeling.

Classes-demos-talks will start at noon. Tourneys will begin at noon and Bardic Competition at 3pm after which Their Excellencies Alexandre and Eularia will hold Court to be followed by Countess Brekke's feast.
