Nun ist aber endlich die Dritte im Bunde (ähm, im Rudel Knuddelbacke) dran, vorgestellt zu werden: Zara.
Sie fand im Jahr 2000 während unseres ersten Korsika Urlaubes mit Hilfe von Maria den Weg zu uns. Die ganze Geschichte könnt ihr auf www.zarmucki.de lesen.
Wir fanden sie auf einem Schrottplatz an eine Kette gefesselt, die sich schon tief in ihren Hals eingeschnitten hatte - Zara war hochtragend und wir kurz vor der Heimfahrt ...

And now you get the story of Zara, the third member of our `Knuddelbacke` pack.
Zara found the way to us in 2000 on Corsica with the help of Maria, who heared her crying and send us to help her. The whole story you find at www.zarmucki.de - unfortunately in German language only. I have not the ability to translate this story - sorry.
But in short terms: We found Zara without food and water on a chain who has cut deep in her neck in the hot sun of Corsica. Zara want to give birth the next days. Her eyes were grey and there was no life in them anymore. She was near death. We gave her to drink and to eat and pulled off about 40 ticks from her bloody neck. The next day we took her to a vet and we beg him to leave her one or two pups because we want to take her with us as soon as possible. But now it wasn`t the right moment, we have to go by ferry to France and didn`t know when she gets her puppies. I leave Zara with tears in my eyes.
In France we get the news that Zara gave birth to 7 pups (at the day we was on the ferry) but all of the pups were taken from her (to death). Now we thought that we can take Zara with us but how to bring her to France? The animal shelter sent Zara per airplane to Nice (France) and we hold Zara in our arms!

schwarze ballen haben soviel ich weiss alle weissen säugetiere, die KEINE albinos sind ;-) dazu gehören auch einige hunderassen wie z.b. der malteser

ich freue mich, dass ihr diese arme hündin gerettet habt und was ist aus den hundbabys geworden??

@dimilinchen: Das ist ja das Tolle, es sind keine Zufälle, denn es gibt keine - das Leben funktioniert so! Und manchmal gibt der Schleier etwas von dem frei, was schon lange verloren geglaubt war. Wir finden etwas von der Sensibilität wieder, die einst zu unseren normalen Sinnen gehörte.

Sehr schön geschrieben die Rettung von Zara. Es tut einem schon sehr weh, wenn jemand, ob Tier, oder Mensch, so gebrochen wird. Ganz lieb ist es von euch, dass ihr Zara in der letzten Not, geholfen habt. Ich hoffe ihr werdet noch weiterhin im Leben viel Glück haben und um auch Glück weitergeben zu können.

Ich werde mich jetzt gleich auf die Geschichte stürzen, aber ich kann schon mal sagen, dass ich gerade aus Afrika komme, wo ich mich immer wieder freue, wie da die Menschen noch nach ihren natuerlichen Instinkten leben und sie die gottlob, im Gegensatz zu uns, auch noch haben!

I understand too because all my life I have also helped many injured dogs and many wild creatures too, how can we do otherwise?
