I really like the pose here and the light. I have to say that the grain is a bit too much though. I would suggest reducing it a bit and applying it after the sharpening. In this shot I would opt maybe for soft focus? Very nice shot though. It looks like you had lots of fun in the class :)

I am trying to alter the photo to become similar to the portraits if the Pictorialist movement. I am reading a book on these artists now and I find their pictures impressing. Please hover your cursor on the face above you get another version. I might need to work on it toll I get something proper. The picture should be indeed in a soft focus type and that is what I am trying to do.
