Cologne - Cathedral
Taken with Canon EOS 33 / Canon EF 24-105 F/4L on Kodak Tri-X. Scanned from the Negative (I am not happy with the scan grey tones). Contrast increased slightly through processing

Really cool shot. I really like your architectural photos particularly this one. What I love is the unusual angle and the distortion introduced by the wide angle lens. The tones are also great and the juxtaposition of the organic lines of the tree with the man adds another dimension to this image beyond the documentary. I love it.

Thanks Aref! In fact you caught the soul of this picture by almost every notion. (Ultra) Wide angle lenses are great and their use in the digital era is not that that easy. I do not why but naked winter tress became one of my favourite subjects recently. I often try to find a dynamic angle like this here in order to make things look interesting and different. I seldom intend to have documentary pictures and such rotation help in this. Still, my style in tilting things like that is often not very welcome by most viewers.
