Gas town,where the city of Vancouver began."Founded in 1867..Fire destroyed the saloon and Vancouver 1886.

The community was originaly named after the first settler and colorful saloon owner"Gassy" Jack Deighton..

Today the area is a charming mix of old and new,with its cobbled streets,antique gas lights,boutiques,restaurants and entertainment..

Located in the Empire Landmark hotel since 1973.It resides on the 42 flr and revolves slowely a 360 degree veiw of downtown Van,Georgia Straight and the North Shore Mountains..

Shooting a movie,so much traffic,this was the only shot I could get..
