The Glade

The Glade
4 colour carbon image from a workshop with Ellie Young at Goldstreet Studios in April 2017. Scanned and gently kissed in Nik. Slightly out of registration for one colour, but I am okay with this. Lots to learn. Printed on Yupo. original image taken on EOS 30D and some non Canon m42 lense. The original image was from the main road to Taneatua in the Bay of Plenty.

Falling Thru The Lens, Chronocrator, Ned have particularly liked this photo

Wow! 4 color carbon, that's fantastic. It must have been fun to see that emerge as the layers went on. I've always thought it is amazing that the layers can be put in registration at all!

It is involved and long........but I do not mind that. I find that I love the colour possibilities.....and since analogue autochromes are a thing of the past, for these feel closer.
It is a beautiful process.......I went to a workshop at GoldStreet Studios with Ellie Young....and fell in love with it. I am slowing getting all the stuff I need together. I know it can be done, and even with my slip ups it was still beautiful. Not that many people teach this process or practice it. I would like to get very good at it. :-)

That's a wonderful experience - going to a workshop and falling in love with a process. I'm happy for you, and happy that a rare analogue process now has another practitioner. Looking forward to your photographs!
