Uganda, 2013

A break from South Sudan for me, a holiday for Angharad, and a chance for us both to spend some time together, right down by the Equator! Uganda is wonderful. Go and meet it. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

The rain forest was filled with clouds of butterflies. We had to stop, not least so that I wouldn't drive into them, but also just to experience them. When some local people walked past, they were obviously aware of why we'd stopped, and it was nice that they seemed proud and appreciative enough of their forest that they didn't think we were crazy :)

Gentle tricks of childhood
