Hemingway's hotel
Possibly even the room he stayed in.
Here in the Masindi Hotel, the oldest in Uganda, the author recuperated after a fairly messy aeroplane accident. We were quite possibly the only guests, staying here at the end of our trip for a bit of well-earned luxury. We had also been the only guests a few days previously, when camping in the grounds of the once important town's other hotel, on our way to the Nile!
The Masindi served one of the best curries ever tasted, although in Uganda, there doesn't seem to be such a thing as a bad curry!
