These I do have in the garden, and they are coming to an end now. They put all that energy into the strong colours and then fade after a day! What a shame :)

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!! So magnificent! Such gorgeous blossoms, aren't they? Your picture is perfect. Serves as an example why there are so many people who collect these for their garden... the outrageous colors are mesmerizing and so addictive! As for that robin I photographed--funny that they are called robins because American and European Robins aren't even remotely related. European settlers were reminded of their lovely bird at home because of the red color and named it the American Robin. Personally, I am in love with the European variety, which I adore and would love to see some day. The American Robin isn't at all dainty in comparison and you'd never call it "cute" or "round". But they are marvelous ubiquitous birds that I love as well, for their own delightful traits.

Glad you liked my reflected caterpillar, I took pictures with no real hope that anything would turn out, so I was overjoyed when I got some crisp winners to choose amongst! :)

I prefer the tobacco flavour of the Day lily over the Dahlia and even more so when the flower is a day or two past it's best. (Not much coming from me at the moment, took the camera to Norwich today and didn't even take it out of the bag)

Another cracker. Fabulous colour and beautiful long curved stamens. Love the alternating colour on the petals.
