Boardwalk

Boardwalk
Part of the boardwalk that snakes through the reed beds at WWT Arundel, West Sussex. I can always hear lots of birds calling from within the reeds, but they're rarely seen.

I did walk around that corner just under a year ago and find a Tree Creeper though, which was a great surprise. www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/48411990

I love the twists and turns of the boardwalk. Know what you mean about the birds. There are narrow reedbeds at Newburgh and you can hear the birds there too but they are very hard to see.

Lovely image Keith, we have the same at Wicken Fen but HM Govt restrictions might prevent me going there.

You managed to get a beautiful shot of the Tree Creeper Keith. I think it's lovely to hear the birds calling and this looks a wonderful place to walk. I love the winding pathway and your description of it snaking through the reeds.

PS. What is that on the right that looks a bit like Concord?

The "concord" structure is actually made of willow and contains a camera obscura which, via a lens and mirror, projects the image of waving reed tops. It's all a bit underwhelming inside, but the structure looks quite nice.

Beautifully composed and it looks like a great place to be! I can imagine it's quite maddening sometimes to hear all the birds and rarely see them- your photo of the tree creeper is fabulous btw!
