Cornflowers

Taken on Hayling Island, Hampshire. (In the same fields as the sunflowers).

These were once considered weeds growing wild among the crops (hence their name), but following their decline in the wild they have also become a popular garden flower. This has also led to them being grown in a variety of colours instead of just blue.
