Hyacinths

Hyacinths
Taken back in early March. Some of them had already flowered and were dying off, but these were looking pretty good.

Aschi "Freestone", homaris, trester88, Susanne Hoy and 13 other people have particularly liked this photo

My hyacinths have only half grown this year and not so vibrant a colour as these Keith.
A delightful shot and beautifully focused as always!

I just wish they were in my garden. I found these in front of the ticket office for the Gosport Ferry!

Beautiful vibrant colour. I always buy hyacinths at Christmas and plant them out when they are over. It takes a year or two but I a nice collection are flowering now.

Mmmmmmm, I can smell them from here!! Such a strong fragrance they have, it's almost too much with these blossoms! :) We had some...thems got et by the confounded varmints! :(

What a gorgeous picture, Keith. LOVE the angle and your dof. Yummy colors and soft bokeh...can't beat that! I would have liked to take pictures of some but meh, didn't get out to look around for them. Plenty of pretty things around here, happily!

Thank you for the lovely comments on my hyacinth, I'm glad you liked it! Funny, we have a silly little line of them down the drive say...100 feet or so...every 10 feet there's like one of them... or two... the little guys continue to pop up though and it's a joy to find them each spring.

Oh yes, the robins on each side of the pond have ZERO in common except the red breast. They are both wonderful but I think yours is sooooo cute!! :D

Glad you're enjoying the RV write ups, it's coming along! Won't be sleeping there tonight, boo (our "grey water tank"--sink water--is full so we can't brush our teeth or wash up), but in a few days we'll get back to it. I love sleeping in my squirrel nest! :D

What a stunning picture, Keith! The blossoms of the hyacinths look like pink starfish.
