Hawthorn Blossom

Hawthorn Blossom
Taken this morning during a short walk between showers. The sky is actually a texture, as the original was grey and horrible :-)

I notice that the Hawthorne's have started blossoming! This is beautiful and I am impressed that you could change the sky....maybe you could work on doing it above here Keith....very grey today! A lovely shot.

Thanks Rosa............changing the sky in ON1 is easy..........just apply a pre-set texture and adjust to suit..!! It has to be simple if I can manage it....................

Beautiful and so early. We're still waiting for the blackthorn to come out.

Glad you like it Jean. I think everything's pretty early down here..........I just hope we don't get some hard frosts or more snow!

Incredible, doesn't hawthorn usually flower much later? Well done with the texture, I would never have guessed!

Thanks Gudrun............appreciated. A lot of stuff seems to be flowering and blossoming early down this end of the country. I just hope survives - I think we may still have a bit of winter to come!

I seem to recall that early flowering hawthorn and blackthorn invariably led to poor fruiting due to late frosts. I followed this keenly as I liked to make sloe gin.
