Quite a task drilling holes in pebbles but they make and interesting image Keith, Like the textures in the timber and the pebbles, have a good Sunday.

That's a great idea. The texture of the wood and the stones fit together perfectly.

Nice image, nice creation. Just curious, are these stones with natural holes, as you sometimes find, or drilled through?

I think they were natural holes.

Totally marvelous. It's unusual and interesting. Perfectly focused and composed. Can't help but stare in happy zen silence at the way the rocks are strung and hung...the wood is super cool too with its colorful texture. Love it!

Thanks so much for your wonderful comments on my fire pictures. Haven't made one myself since we had yearly burns on our property. Inside...haven't had one in so many years I don't even remember! So it was a treat that Brian made fires every night. Lovely...I'd forgotten how warm and comforting they are. Mesmerizing. And you know, I've taken pictures of fire before but I really got lucky with these pictures because they convey what they should...I usually get something crisp or too blurry or, I don't know, just doesn't capture the feeling right. Funny how pictures sometimes just come out right.

Hey, thanks for saying you see a resemblance between me and Brian. What a compliment, as I consider him to be a total model-quality poster boy. I've always said that he would be the perfect model for the Marines. When he was a boy, it was hard for him because he looked like a girl, so pretty. He wore his hair long which didn't help. Then, as a teenager he was still pretty until one day, BAM...MODEL BOY! And he's stayed that way through the years. I love that he takes care of himself too. What's hilarious to me is that he has had a bunch of YouTube videos and reading the comments I've noticed that he picked up a bunch of fan-girls!! Brian just ignores it all, he knows he's handsome but pays it no mind. Meanwhile, if standing from a distance, it's fun to see the admires of either gender who think he's gorgeous! :) It's nice to feel proud of him that way!:)

Lovely colours and textures. If you find a stone with a hole in it, it is supposed to bring you luck so looks like this is going to be a good year for you.

That just couldn't be more wonderful, Keith! For me, few things are more attractive - even cozy - than rocks, sticks and shells.

Great still life! I love the colours and textures. The stones with a hole in the middle are called "Hühnergötter" in Germany.

A succinct title Keith ;-) I have to agree with the many other comments about the beautiful colours and textures. Yes, apparently it is good luck to find a stone with a hole in it....I hope as the photographer, some of that luck comes your way!!
