Auricularia Auricula - Judae
Otherwise known as Jelly Ear Fungus. I spotted this yesterday on the remains of a fallen tree. It took a bit of searching, but I'm pretty sure I have the correct ID..........unless you know differently, in which case please update me. The examples I found online seem darker in colour than these, but this may because of the recent snow/heavy frosts we've had. Two images posted if it helps.
It seems the common name for this fungus is regarded as non-PC nowadays - it's now known as Jelly Ear Fungus. Thanks to Ben (Fratton Parker) for confirming the ID.
