A bit of an impromptu bug-hunt today.............once again, I did not have my macro gear with me, so used my Oly 40-150mm Pro lens with a 10mm extension tube. These are also large crops.

Although they belong to the Arachnid family, Harvestmen (of which there are around 380 known species) are not a spider. They have a completely different body and only 6 legs.

Eunice Perkins, Jean, Berny, Peter Gancarčik and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Lovely pattern on the body. I'm OK with bugs generally but occasionally those long legs send a shudder down my spine.

It's amazing how beautiful some of these bugs look in close up.................and how frightening sometimes!.
