Top of Haldon Hill on theA38...Haytor just about to come into view as you start to descend westwards. Great place, and a lovely photo of it

You know it then? :-))

First time I've been there, although I've driven past it hundreds of times! It's a lovely place, but very busy on the day we went and it was difficult to get photos with no one around. Glad you like this one though.

To me, these look like fir trees, but maybe they're something else to you. I know nothing about your conifers! Lovely, peaceful shot.

Definitely some sort of evergreen fir type (I'm not really up to speed of tree ID I'm afraid). It looks peaceful but it was a really busy trail and I had to hang around for a while to get a shot with no people in it. Glad to like it though and thanks for stopping by.

That is so lovely with the little bend in the path and the beautiful light. I like the perfectly straight trunks. We've got quite a few Douglas firs in Scotland notably at The Hermitage near Dunkeld. Four of them at Reelig Glen near Inverness are the tallest trees in Britain.

I always value your comments Jean.............thank you. It's a beautiful place that I plan to go back to later in the year. On this occasion we were on a family day out and although I always carry a camera, photography was a secondary consideration.
