Great fence but pity about Cadburys- it seems to be the same everywhere, they keep the brand name in the hope consumers don't realize what's happend.

World-renowned! At one point I owned a 100 shares of Cadbury... when it was still Cadbury Schweppes.

I made a bit of money but sold too early before it was taken over by Kraft. Mind you, I was dismayed that Cadbury Schweppes was sold out and broken up. Back then, and like many other British companies still today, it was listed on the NYSE, so we Canadians have access to buying British stock directly.

Very attractive shot, with the yummy chocolate on green. There was something here a couple of years ago about the Hershey Corp. not allowing the Cadbury company to sell their chocolates in the USA anymore. I don't know how on earth Hershey had the power to ban a competitor, but they did. It seems that H. has been manufacturing C. here for many years under licence agreement, but not using the original C. recipe. So, of course, it was more Hershey style - wax added to make it more familiar to the American palette! Oh, I don't know, it was complicated, but people here who loved the real Cadbury choc from UK/Canada were outraged. H. didn't care one bit, naturally.

Excuse me, Hershey, if you didn't pump your chocolate full of wax in the first place it wouldn't be so familiar to the American palette! Anyhow, I LOVE Cadbury milk choc, melty-melty! Hm, maybe I'll make a Cadbury run to Canada one of these days.

Interesting info Diane. I'm sure chocolate doesn't taste the same as it did years ago - I still eat far too much of it though!
